The Executor's
Workshop
Presented By

Forewarned is Forearmed.
The Executor's Workshop will teach you the skills and tricks of the trade you'll need when called upon to serve as the Executor of a loved one's estate. You will learn the basic steps of probate, how property transfers work in North Carolina, and how to analyze a case to determine which probate method is most appropriate given the particular assets involved (hint: there is more than one way to skin the probate cat). Then, you will work with actual court documents to administer the fake estate of your beloved Uncle Bob or Aunt Alice.
By combining "classroom-style" teaching with hands-on practical experience, the Executor's Workshop will arm you with the tools and knowledge you'll need to successfully navigate the probate process.
Each Workshop Consists of 3 Core Components:

Session One

Classroom Component:
Understand the 5 steps of probate

Explore different ways property transfers upon death
Discover the various probate "doors" and the procedures and costs involved with each option
Learn practical tips to make your job as Executor easier

Session Two

Real World Practicum:
Administer the estate of your dear Uncle Bob, Aunt Alice, or another recently passed relative.

Session Three

Upon the completion of Session One and Session Two, you will be invited to sign up for a one-on-one 30-minute debrief with the instructor to address any lingering questions.
